Choosing a Hidden View Farm wedding was the perfect location for this couple. The bride’s love of horses and the outdoors was woven into the soft color palette, setting and decor.
I first met Virginia and Jake while during a family portrait session with her sister, Lauren’s, family and parents. I first met Lauren almost 8 years ago at a wedding and she asked if I could do a portrait session with her husband and triplets before they flew home to Florida. I am so glad they have trusted me over the years to continue to photograph their family as it grows.
The couple met through an awkward introduction by Virginia’s dad through Facebook. What was meant to be a private message, was a public post about this great guy she should meet! In his speech, he had the whole crowd laughing and vowed to never use Facebook again.
Three words that describe the day are family, fun and elegance! One way Virginia and Jake highlighted how important family is to them was by having all their nieces and nephews join them in the ceremony. They gave them each a special gift and said a prayer together. It was one of the most moving parts of the day!
Virginia and Jake are an amazing couple whose love for each other and their families and friends was evident in every aspect of the wedding day. I feel like a part of the family when I’m around them and am so happy to be a part of their story.
