Katie and Hunter’s wedding took place in the heart of Annapolis on a crisp November day. The decor was elegant winter white florals, blush pink bridesmaids gowns and military dress blues.
Katie and Hunter met in high school and continued to strengthened their relationship during his undergraduate studies at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis. Because of this, they decided to celebrate their marriage in the same location on Veterans Day weekend. Planning a wedding from the west coast was a challenge, but they had some wonderful family members in the area to help. I finally met this awesome couple in person on the day of the wedding!
GoNavy Rentals are perfect for those traveling from out of town for your wedding. Both the bride and groom prepped at houses nearby so we could easily head to the USNA Chapel for the ceremony. Behind the Veil, LLC handled all the styling and the girls looked amazing. Katie’s mom had her baby bonnet as a gift for her that morning and we were all tearing up. The couple used Hunter’s grandfather’s USMC sword to cut the cake. Hunter and his brothers, who are all active duty military, were finally together to the delight of his family. I had the talented Ashley McGinty of Griot Photo there to help photograph the day.
Ogle Hall (USNA Alumni Association) was decorated beautifully for the reception. A U shaped clear top tent was set up in the courtyard with stunning florals by Cache Fleur and delish catering by O’Leary Catering. We hit all the best spots on campus before heading to the reception to celebrate. A sparkler exit was the perfect end to this fantastic day! As always, I am humbled to be in the presence of such a beautiful love story. The couple is back in California for their next adventures as husband and wife. I loved getting to know them and their families and hope to see them again.
